In the fields of industry and scientific research, PFA tubes and FEP tubes are widely used. Although they are both fluoroplastic tubes, there are many differences.

1. Material properties

PFA tubes have excellent temperature resistance, and the long-term use temperature range can reach -80℃ to 260℃. In its molecular structure, the perfluoroalkyl side chain gives it excellent chemical stability, enabling it to resist the erosion of most strong acids and alkalis and other chemical substances. At the same time, the surface of PFA tubes is very smooth, not easy to adsorb impurities, easy to clean, and often used for liquid transportation with high purity requirements.

The long-term use temperature of FEP tubes is generally between -80℃ and 200℃, and its temperature resistance is slightly inferior to that of PFA tubes. In terms of chemical stability, FEP tubes have good tolerance to common acids, alkalis and organic solvents, but are slightly less resistant to some highly corrosive chemicals. Its surface is also relatively smooth, but compared with PFA tubes, it has slightly stronger adsorption.

2. Performance

PFA tubes can maintain good physical properties and chemical stability in high-temperature and high-corrosion environments, and are often used in semiconductor, chemical and other industries to transport high-purity media. It has excellent electrical insulation, stable performance in high-frequency and high-voltage environments, and low dielectric constant and dielectric loss.

FEP tubes perform well in medium and low temperatures and general corrosive environments. It has good flexibility and processing performance, is easy to form and install, and has certain advantages in some fields that require high flexibility of pipes, such as medical equipment and laboratory equipment. In terms of electrical insulation, FEP tubes have good performance, but are not as stable as PFA tubes in high-frequency and high-voltage extreme environments.

3. Application fields

Trifluoro PFA tubes are mainly used in fields with extremely high material performance requirements, such as high-purity chemical transportation in semiconductor manufacturing and precision line protection in the electronics industry. In the chemical industry, it is used to transport hazardous chemicals such as strong acids and alkalis. In the pharmaceutical field, PFA tubes can be used for pipelines for transporting high-purity reagents in the pharmaceutical process.

FEP tubes are often used for electrical insulation, heat exchangers, etc., and are also used in corrosion-resistant piping systems in the construction industry, and wear-resistant parts in mechanical manufacturing. In automobile manufacturing, FEP tubes can be used as insulation layers for automobile wiring harnesses to protect wires and cables.
