Q: 1.Is there a big difference in flexibility between FEP chemical hoses and PTFE chemical hoses?

A: FEP chemical hoses have better flexibility, with a minimum bending radius ≥5 times the pipe diameter and can be bent manually directly; PTFE hoses, due to their high material hardness, require custom bending processes, with a bending radius usually ≥8 times the pipe diameter, making them more suitable for static straight-line transportation scenarios.

Q: 2.How to handle interface leakage of FEP chemical hoses?

A: If the joint sealing is poor, replace the fluororubber or PTFE gasket and re-tighten it according to the standard torque; if the hose end is cracked, slight cracks can be coated with FEP-specific repair agent, and severe cracks require cutting and re-connecting or replacing the entire hose to avoid medium overflow.

Q: 3.What should be noted when using FEP chemical hoses to transport high-temperature media?

A: When the medium temperature is >150℃, high-temperature customized models should be selected, and the bending radius should be shortened to avoid accelerated aging of the inner FEP due to excessive bending at high temperatures; reserve thermal expansion space during installation to prevent interface leakage due to tension.

Q: 4.Can FEP chemical hoses be used in negative pressure suction scenarios?

A: Regular models can withstand a negative pressure of -0.05MPa. If higher negative pressure is required, customized reinforced models are needed to prevent the hose from collapsing and blocking; when suctioning volatile media, it is recommended to use anti-static joints to avoid risks caused by static accumulation.

Q: 5.How big is the flow difference between FEP chemical hoses of different inner diameters?

A: Taking room temperature clean water as an example, the flow rate of a hose with an inner diameter of 10mm is about 1.2m³/h, 20mm is about 4.8m³/h, and 50mm is about 30m³/h . The specific flow rate needs to be calculated according to the medium viscosity and pressure. For large flow scenarios, it is recommended to choose models with an inner diameter ≥30mm.

Q: 6.What are the taboos for storing unused FEP chemical hoses?

A: It is forbidden to store them with organic solvents and sharp metal parts to avoid swelling of the outer rubber or scratches on the pipe wall; they should be placed horizontally in a dry and ventilated place, with a stacking height ≤1 meter, to prevent corrugated deformation due to long-term pressure.
