1. Material properties:

- Silicone tubes have excellent chemical resistance but poor wear resistance, and their lifespan is usually 3-6 months;

- Polyurethane tubes have high tensile strength and their lifespan can be up to twice that of silicone tubes (data source: Masterflex experimental data).

2. Fluid properties:

- Acidic or alkaline liquids will accelerate material aging, and the lifespan will be reduced by more than 40% when the pH value exceeds the range of 4-10;

- Fluids containing solid particles (such as slurries) will increase the wear rate by 3-5 times.

3. Working parameters:

- For every 0.2MPa increase in pressure, the deformation of the pump tube increases by 15%, and the lifespan decreases by about 25% (see "Chemical Machinery" 2022 study);

- When the temperature exceeds 60℃, the lifespan decreases by 30% for every 10℃ increase.

4. Maintenance and operation:

- Regular lubrication of the pump head can extend its life by 20%-30%;

- Incorrect installation (such as over-tightening or over-loosening) can shorten its life by more than 50%.
